The Mariann Home in Richmond Hill, Ont. has been a happy exception to the devastating COVID-19 outbreaks at Canada's long-term care facilities, with no cases or deaths to date. Mariann Administrator Bernard Boreland was quick off the mark in recognizing the severity of the outbreak early, though he is also quick to deflect credit.
