Experts push for national screening program of 'bubble boy' disease

Three children are born each month in Canada with a rare but life-threatening disease that can be diagnosed with a simple blood test and treated early. But a lack of a national testing strategy means some newborns are falling through the cracks unnecessarily, and doctors are pushing to make screening for Severe Combined Immunodeficiency, or SCID, a priority.
